Simoco Wireless Solutions is a specialist in unified mission-critical communications technology. The company, which has been a long standing client of over ten years, tasked Context with supporting the delivery of a company rebrand that would emphasise its wireless communications expertise.
The Challenge
Simoco has a rich heritage in developing radio communications networks and supplying radio devices. However, it was better recognised for this specialist expertise as opposed to the additional wireless technologies and unified communications approaches it had developed over recent years.
Following a company merger, the business wanted to rebrand under a new identity that would unite its mission critical radio offering with new forms of communication technologies, including data-driven Internet of Thing (IoT) and cellular services.
The Strategy
To help drive the rebrand process, Context designed and implemented an integrated communications strategy, centred on a new website which rebranded the legacy Simoco Group as Simoco Wireless Solutions. The website showcased Simoco’s end-to-end communications capabilities and ability to work in the most challenging environments through a range of authoritative content including landing pages, blogs, whitepapers, case studies and thought leadership articles.
Context also implemented a number of initiatives to raise awareness and engagement with the new company identity. For internal audiences, this included content introducing the Simoco Wireless Solutions business and a quarterly internal newsletters to foster excitement and ambition among employees.
External communications consisted of building the profile of Simoco Wireless Solutions through a new social media presence, regular email marketing campaigns and a media relations campaign that included company news and profiles of key figures within the senior management team, including CEO Mike Norfield.
The Results
Simoco is now positioned as an expert in wireless, unified communications networks. Its capabilities in high-pressure and complex projects such as confined spaces engineering, emergency services communications, telemetry and telematics are all clearly referenced through a range of content that supports marketing and sales activity across the business.
