Job Title: PR Account Manager/Senior Account Manager

Reports to: Account Director

Location: Macclesfield/Remote/Hybrid (UK based)

The Role

As a PR Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a number of accounts in the technology sector. You will have some experience developing and executing a range of PR and content marketing tactics to ensure SLAs are met. You will be a key part of the agency, with plenty of opportunities for professional development.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Become the point of contact for clients
  • Offer strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns
  • Build relationships with key media contacts, speaking to journalists and other members of the press on a regular basis
  • Provide quality copywriting for press releases, thought leadership articles, blogs and other PR and content marketing assets
  • Build relationships with existing and new clients and provide innovative and creative ideas
  • Liaise with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and PR services
  • Analyse PR coverage and provide written reports

Key responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary according to the needs of the client but may include a combination of:

  • Developing industry, sector, and product-focused PR campaigns
  • Contributing to daily meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR activities
  • Keeping up to date with current industry trends
  • Building client relationships and maintaining a network of media contacts
  • Spearheading traditional PR and social media projects
  • Fulfilling the client’s key performance indicators and growing accounts
  • Being involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of staff

Qualifications

Graduates with relevant degrees in the arts, science, media, journalism, or public relations are desirable. Work experience in communications fields including journalism or marketing offer transferable skills to a career in PR, and qualifications from the PRCA or CIPR are highly valued.

A lack of qualifications isn’t a barrier to entry if you can demonstrate strong interpersonal, writing and project management skills, a creative flair, and an interest in the media.

Relevant experience

  • Ideally 2 – 3 years’ experience either in-house or agency-side within the technology or related sector
  • An understanding of SEO and analytics would be a distinct advantage as would a track record of managing social media platforms for clients

Salary and Benefits

We are offering competitive salary packages according to seniority and experience, in the range of £28,000-£38,000 including bonuses, depending on experience. Job Title: PR Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

Reports to: Account Manager

Location: Macclesfield/Remote/Hybrid (UK based)

The Role

Working on a range of technology clients you will support our Account Managers with client tasks including copywriting and pitching to the media. You will be willing to learn about issues in the sector, collating relevant curated content and writing original assets to drive engagement. Planning, creativity, and reporting are also vital parts of the role, and the candidate will also be expected to contribute to new business activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Writing content on behalf of clients such as articles, press releases, blogs, case studies and comment pieces
  • Building relationships with journalists and key influencers by pitching relevant high-quality content on a regular basis
  • Developing social media campaigns and researching curated content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc. This includes showing value to the client by measuring engagement and ROI
  • Attending client meetings and conference calls to provide full, timely reporting
  • Helping AMs and ADs with proposals and attend pitch meetings
  • Contributing to Context’s own marketing activities in terms of writing blogs and helping with client case studies.
  • Complying with internal agency management systems for time and cost logging

Qualifications

Graduates with degrees in the arts, science, media, journalism, or public relations are desirable but not essential. We would also like to hear from anyone with experience in-house or agency side, especially if you have worked in a technology company.

Salary and Benefits

We are offering competitive salary packages according to seniority and experience, in the range of £21,000-£26,000 including bonuses, depending on experience. Other benefits include a company laptop, a tailored training and career development programme, performance-related bonuses, and company pension.
