SureCloud is a rapidly growing security, risk and compliance cloud service provider, they provide Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) applications and Cybersecurity services.

Context was enlisted to work with SureCloud to enhance its profile in the industry press and become an established thought leader in the space.

SureCloud wanted to broaden the reach for its applications in more mainstream, consumer-facing media including the nationals, as well as key information security, general IT and business titles.



The Solution

Context developed a focused media relations strategy, devised to achieve high quality, impactful coverage in target media, this included working on some ‘consumer penetration testing’ items to get widespread media coverage to deliver the B2B message.

By highlighting the value of SureCloud’s offering, Context were also able to differentiate them from the rest of the market and showcase their new developments.

Multiple by-lined articles also helped to cement SureCloud as an industry thought leader, coupled with insightful and newsworthy research and data stories.

Context ensured a close integration of content and media relations activities with other areas of content marketing. Articles published in the media were posted on the website and shared via social media, making a major contribution to SEO and lead generation programme.

The Result

Context achieved national coverage with included a two-page spread in the Daily Mail, features in the Sun, the Telegraph and BBC News.

Coverage was also secured  in a wide range of trade media covering business, IT and technology titles, including SC Magazine, InfoSecurity, Information Age and IT ProPortal.

These pieces position SureCloud alongside international vendors and analyst firms, and helped bolster them as an industry leader.

After also engaging with consumer watchdog Which?, Context secured a slot on Rip Off Britain, and used it to highlight risks round banking fraud.
