CLEANTECH communications specialist Alex Pegler has this month joined Context Public Relations as Associate Director. The move comes as Context expands its sustainability-focused strategic communications offer.
Alex has led communications and public policy campaigns on a range of issues from plastic pollution to sustainable aviation fuels. In 2023 he coordinated an international media relations campaign for cleantech company Matter. The campaign saw Matter announce a major £8.7 million Series A investment involving funds backed by Hollywood actors Leonardo Di Caprio and Ashton Kutcher.
In 2021 he oversaw international press outreach for the world’s first Plastic Health Summit. He has also delivered communications for vegan charity Viva! – securing world-wide media coverage for their campaign highlighting the environmental benefits of switching to a plant based diet.
Alex has also led public policy campaigns for a range of clients – both in the European Parliament in Brussels, and in Westminster and the devolved administrations. At Context Alex will be working with a portfolio of international clients working to make the world a greener place.
Context Managing Director Jenni Livesley said: “Alex has established himself as one of the UK foremost operators in sustainability communications. I’m delighted to welcome him to the rapidly-growing Context Public Relations team.”
Context Associate Director Alex Pegler said: “I am thrilled to get started at Context who have been doing game-changing work for more than 30 years. Cleantech manufacturing could triple to be worth in excess of £500 billion by 2030. To work in the burgeoning industry of sustainability is extremely exciting. There is no end to the sector’s potential”
