Context Celebrates Gold at North West PR Awards

MACCLESFIELD, CHESHIRE (20 November 2008) – Macclesfield’s Context Public Relations is celebrating winning gold in the North West PRide Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The PRide awards recognise excellence and performance in the PR industry, with Context winning gold in the Business & Trade category for its work with IT security specialist Check Point.

The judging panel, which was made up of senior PR professionals from across the UK, said of Context’s entry: “The campaign used good external news hooks and proved timely in the context of the evolving national debate on data security. The agency worked well to find a creative approach to promoting an existing product. As well as measurements based on media coverage, the ranking by a third party endorser proved the campaign's effectiveness.”

Context has worked with Check Point for 18 months, managing their PR strategy to generate awareness for their brand across the IT sector, while helping generate sales for their security solutions.  Context has a 15-year history of providing PR and marketing services to companies in both the IT and consumer markets.
